We all know that data is difficult to physically disappear, which makes it worth pondering: what form does it ultimately exist in?
In nature, death is not the end—it is part of a slow process of decay and decomposition that enables the cyclical flow of energy. Inspired by this universal structure, I attempt to establish an axis of observation, tracing the phenomenon of decay from the organic to the inorganic, and representing the final, sedimented form of data.
Q4data aims to provoke reflection on the data we create—especially the data generated unconsciously. After its life cycle ends, in what form will it remain? And in what manner might it decay, settle, or ferment?
我们都知道，数据很难真正消失，那数据的“终点”究竟是什么样的存在？
在自然中，死亡并不是结束，而是生命延续的一种形式 —— 腐烂与分解促进了能量的再循环，构成了世界运作的逻辑秩序。借由这一普遍存在的自然结构，项目尝试建立一条观察轴线，从有机到无机，研究腐烂现象的不同阶段，并将最终的“沉积数据”呈现为某种感知图像。
Q4data 旨在激发人们重新思考数据的生命周期，尤其是那些无意识中被产生的数据：当数据的生命终结，它将以怎样的形式存在？又会以何种方式腐烂、沉淀或发酵？
