FAMILY TRACE

The traces of my parents and ancestors are like birthmarks on my body—inescapable and indelible. In my early years, I often tried to escape my family’s influence, but with little success. During a trip to visit ancestral graves, I began to listen—to my mother, to my grandmother, to the stories—and I started to reconsider what family truly meant to me.

This project uses photography and 3D video to reconstruct memory and emotion. I collected and disassembled old family photos, digitally rebuilt familiar spaces using 3D scanning, and reassembled them in C4D into new narrative compositions. These reimagined visuals are not simply fragments, but a deep reconfiguration of emotional structure and self-perception.

Through this process, I reflect on my evolving relationship with family, my reconciliation with self, and a renewed understanding of intimacy and lineage.
